Kids Class (Kids 6yrs to 12/14yrs old)
This class is a basic instructional grappling class designed to give its students a basic knowledge of submission grappling. Jiu-Jitsu techniques mixed with fun games such as dodge-ball makes this class a must for children looking to have fun and still grasp basic technical knowledge of modern day submission grappling. Kids have a chance to burn off excess energy in a productive environment while parents can finally get a break!
Teens Class (Age 12yrs to 17yrs old)
This class is a basic instructional grappling class designed to give its students a basic knowledge of submission grappling. For those who have started with us as kids but are getting a little older, the teens class is the start to getting more serious about training and take it to the next level. For those that are starting with us as new students, this is to get you ready for the adult classes down the line and teach you the fundamentals of what grappling is all about.
Submission Grappling (Age 12/14yrs and up)
Any and all submission grappling class offered at Lauzon MMA is perfect for anyone of any size, shape, or skill level to learn submission grappling techniques. These classes consist of students with a skill level of no prior knowledge of submission grappling, to the advanced knowledge and skill set of individuals who professionally fight in organizations such as the UFC. Experience level can range from those with no prior experience to those that have fought and competed at the highest level of the sport.
Marathon Grappling (Age 12/14yrs and up)
One of the best parts about grappling and Jiu-Jitsu is the ability to train at full speed against a fully resisting opponent. While doing technique is good, it’s important to just go out there and roll and drill as well… so we do long sets of grappling rounds. We usually do 5 minute rounds with a 1 minute rest, and you do as many as you can, for as long as you can, and take as few breaks as possible. It’s a great workout and will give even our newest guys some time to train/work with some of our best guys. If you are just starting out, you do as many as you can, but the idea is to push yourself!
Boxing/Kickboxing (Age 12/14yrs and up)
The boxing/kickboxing class is a traditional boxing/muay thai stylistic instructional class that is offered twice a week. This class provides instruction on technique of punches and kicks as well as a number of combinations. Focus is concentrated more so on traditional boxing, but kicks are also incorporated. At the end of the class, sparring is encouraged, but not mandatory, for such students who have mouthpieces and are interested in doing so.
Open Mat: (Lauzon MMA students of any age)
Open mat is encouraged for all students. This is a perfect opportunity to get some practice or drilling in with other training partners of techniques taught during the week. Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of this time.
Beginner MMA Training (Age 12/14yrs and up)
This is a class designed to teach newer students the fundamentals of Mixed Martial Arts without going through the wear and tear of full-on sparring.
Team Aggression Team MMA Training (Advanced)
This class is centered around our more advanced fighters who are preparing for upcoming fights. Fighters include local amateur fighters, local professional fighters, and those fighting in the UFC.
